“I just wish it would get colder sooner.” -Wilmot Mountain GM, Chuck Randles

Its been a brutal start to season for ski resorts in Southeastern Wisconsin with warm weather effecting operations throughout December. This comes at a particularily difficult time as Christmas break is traditionally the busiest two-week stretch for the ski hills.

Vail Resorts owned Wilmot Mountain fortunately had one chairlift open yesterday accessing three trails but it was the only resort open in Southeastern Wisconsin. Alpine Valley, Little Switzerland, Sunburst, and The Rock were all closed. Ouch!

Fingers crossed for some cold weather for all you Wisco shredders. Lets hope we get some sub-freezing temps and a bit of accumulation to kickstart winter.
