Last winter Sage Kotsenburg and Ben Ferguson paid homage to the legendary ravine gap jump from Travis Rice’s 2011 snowboard film The Art of Flight. After a quick game of rochambeau, Ferguson was nominated guinea pig for the freshly crafted backcountry booter and looks like he got bucked on the bumpy in-run and hit a tree before crashing landing into the slope below. Thankfully conditions were soft and he was fine. After an unceremonious start to the session, the boys found their groove and the footage is incredible.
