Dear Editor of Unofficial,

I’m writing to you today with a burning rage that has been smoldering for far too long. The cost of skiing has skyrocketed to such absurd heights that it’s become an exclusive club for the privileged elite, and I can no longer bite my tongue.

Skiing, a sport that was once celebrated for its accessibility and connection to the natural world, has transformed into a cash-grabbing monster that thrives on the suffering of everyday enthusiasts. The price of lift tickets alone is enough to make one’s head spin faster than a downhill racer on Red Bull. Do the ski resorts think they’re operating a luxury spa for the super-rich? Because that’s what it feels like!

I’m fed up with shelling out hundreds of dollars for a single day on the slopes. What happened to the days when skiing was a sport for the people, not just for those with a bulging wallet? It’s as if the resorts are telling us that if we can’t afford to pay their exorbitant prices, we don’t deserve to enjoy the mountains.

I’m aware that running a ski resort is expensive, but it’s high time they started prioritizing the ski community over their profit margins. The skiing industry should be working to preserve the traditions and values of our sport, not pricing out the very people who have supported it for decades.

It’s time for ski resorts to wake up and smell the pine-scented air. Lower your prices, offer discounts to locals and regulars, and make skiing an inclusive activity once again. The mountains should be a place of joy and freedom, not a playground for the wealthy.

In closing, I implore Unofficial Networks to use its platform to rally against these outrageous prices. Let’s expose the greed that’s ruining our beloved sport and demand change from ski resorts. Together, we can work towards a future where skiing is accessible to all, not just the select few who can afford it.

Regards,

Rick from New Jersey
