Brian Head’s push to be the first ski resort open in Utah has begun. Over the weekend, Brian Head Resort began its snowmaking operations for the 2023-24 season. Colder temperatures allowed the ski resort to make snow on the Paradise trail over on Navajo Mountain. This is partially thanks to the mountain’s base elevation of 9600 feet, the highest of any ski resort in Utah. Brian Head’s projected opening date is November 10th.

Over the offseason, Mountain Capital Partners has spent $1 million improving Brian Head, which has included snowmaking upgrades and new gladed terrain. Click here to learn more about Brian Head’s offseason improvements.
