This summer at Cranmore Mountain Resort has been the continuation of a transformative period. Recent changes have included a new real estate development, the refurbishment of the Skimobile Express Quad, a new lodge that’s next to its tubing and summer activity center, the opening of the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, and becoming part of the Mount Washington Valley Recreation Path.

Their main offseason project is the construction of a building that will be home to Cranmore’s base lodge. The first two floors of the Fairbank Lodge will be dedicated to Cranmore’s new day skier facilities, while the upper two levels will contain condominiums.

Last week, Ben Wilcox, who is the General Manager of Cranmore, gave a video update on the progress of the new base lodge. The exterior is nearing completion, with most of the work now going towards the interior. Cranmore also announced the name of the snazzy new bar: Kosslers. This is in honor of Franz Kössler, an Austrian ski instructor who taught at Cranmore for many years. The video shows off the future spaces of the base lodge, including the seating areas and food court.

Ben also gave an update on Cranmore’s next real estate development. This month, they began work on The Lookout, which will be home to their new ski patrol facility and numerous real estate units.

The foundational work began a couple of weeks ago, with construction continuing to intensify in the coming months. The Lookout is expected to open during the 2024-25 season.
