If there’s one thing you can count on these days, it’s that any large news event will lead to the creation of a streaming service documentary within just a few months. I mean, Channel 5 in the UK had a documentary about the lost titanic submarine set to air THE DAY THE OCCUPANTS WERE SCHEDULED TO RUN OUT OF OXYGEN. Fans of the Gwyneth Paltrow ski lawsuit that occurred this winter will soon be getting a documentary of their own, “Gwyneth vs Terry: The Ski Crash Trial“.

According to Variety, production company Optomen will release a two part documentary focused on the Deer Valley centered ski lawsuit later this year. The show will be a part of the company’s “Vs.” series, which previously focused on the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce trial. The documentary will air on Warner Bros. Discovery U.K.

Retired optometrist Terry Sanderson sued Paltrow after a ski collision at Deer Valley back in 2016. Sanderson filed a $300,000 lawsuit, claiming the actress and Goop founder had recklessly crashed into him. Paltrow returned the favor by countersuing the man for $1 and all legal fees. In late March of this year, the court determined that she was not liable for the incident.

Do we really need a documentary about this lawsuit? Is it going to bring anything new to the table? No and probably not. Are people still going to watch it like crazy? Probably. If I could have it my way, we would all forget about that lawsuit and move on. But that’s not going to happen.
