Any physical activity taking you from one side of the country to the other side is pretty darn wild. Even a cross-country road trip can be a pretty major life experience. People will always work to push the coast-to-coast limits, attempting it in record times or with a completely new mode of transportation, and Chad Caruso‘s Skate Across America is definitely one I haven’t seen before.

57 days on a skateboard soundsย crazyย to me. Even crazier, though, is the idea of riding over 60 miles on a skateboard inย one day. But Chad Caruso did it, riding from Los Angeles, CA to Virginia Beach, VA. ย You can check out his routes day-by-day over on his Komoot, but it’s definitely worth it to go through his amazing YouTube channel to really learn more.

He also set a Guinness World Record for the fastest crossing of the United States on a manually powered skateboardย andย the mayor of Virginia Beach declared May 19, 2023 as Chad Caruso day. Pretty darn cool!

Huge congrats to Chad for completing something so incredible!
