I’ve known a few professional boot fitters in my day and a major part of their job is gently letting folks know that no matter what, there’s a level of discomfort that parallels performance and there’s not really anyway around it. They can certainly use their institutional knowledge to work some magic to address hotspots and such but when it comes down to it, ski boots are pain in the butt that we endure for the love of the sport.
