There’s very clear rules about right away when it comes to motorist and wildlife in the confines of Yellowstone National Park.  Simply put, if you come across animals on the road you keep your vehicle at a distance and patiently wait for them to move on which can create what is euphemistically known as a “bison jam.”

But what happens when there’s a medical emergency and an ambulance has to make to get through a herd of bison ambling across the road…here’s your answer. Not sure if these bison know the deal when they hear sirens but they quickly cleared the way on this bridge over the Lamar River and the ambulance experienced minimal delays.
