Last weekend, Snowbird Resort opened what could be their best terrain park setup ever. After years of fledgling terrain parks around the Mid-Gad and the Baby Thunder lifts, Snowbird decided to wait until the spring and partner with Woodward to create a comprehensive park.

Located over at the Baldy Express, Snowbird’s Woodward Mountain Park features various small to intermediate-sized features, jumps, and rails. The terrain park is focused on progression-based learning, allowing skiers and riders to safely learn new skills.

From May 2nd through the 6th, Snowbird will host the Woodward Peace Park Championships. Created in 2012 by Danny Davis, the best women, and men in snowboarding will compete over a three-day span for the Peace Park Axe. On the last day, the course will be open to the public, which will be known as Peace Park for the People Day. Spectators will be able to watch the event from the beach located right next to the Baldy Express. Woodward Snowbird is expected to remain open through at least May 14th.
