Cay Heitman started skiing at Stevens Pass back in 1945 when she was 13 years old and she fell in love instantly.
Cay and her husband Al passed on their love of skiing to their 6 kids, 16 grandkid and 14 great-grandkids. She skied with most of her great-grandkids up until a few years ago when she underwent a foot surgery and she wasn’t sure if she would ever toss on the ski boots again.
One of her granddaughters, Christy, told the folks at the resort that Cay said, “In heaven I’ll be skiing at Stevens Pass every day” and they wanted to make sure she got one last run with the people she loves the most.
Stevens Pass coordinated with over 20 of Cay’s family members to get her back to Stevens Pass a few weekends ago and the footage warms our hearts. Read more HERE.
