Some of the gnarliest terrain in Colorado is the Lake Chutes at Breckenridge Resort. The extreme double black diamond terrain can be reached by hiking from the top of Imperial Superchair. The kicker to all this is that you’re skiing at nearly 13,000 feet, meaning that you’ll be gasping for air even before you make your initial descent.

The crew over at PeakRankings posted a video tour of the various trails, starting with the easiest, and then finishing on the most extreme run. Included in the tour are Easy Street/9 Lives, Zoot Chute, Vertical Cornice, and Wacky’s Chute.

The video from PeakRankings is below. Some of their other excellent extreme terrain tours include the Mt. Rose Chutes and Sugarbush’s Castlerock terrain pod, which are attached hereto.
