Meet Don, an avid snowboarder and the foreperson of the jury for Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski crash lawsuit that has dominated the news cycle for the past few weeks.
I’m no jury selection expert but I think if I saw a snowboarder dude like Don in the lineup I would trust he would see the case through eyes of someone who intuitively understands the dynamics of on-hill collisions and would provide a just decision. His opinions on the court proceedings are refreshingly measured. Court TV sat down with Don get his thoughts on the case and he provided clear eyed observations like this:
“Sanderson’s story was he had his arms straight out…but his elbow broke his ribs. How does that happen if your arms were straight out? That was the first thing that didn’t fully make sense.”
In the end I think the jury got this one correct. What do you think?
