Taos Ski Resort has been forced to close until further notice due to a leaks in the municipal water system.
KOAT Action News reports efforts to repair the problem only led to discovering more leaks and the issue was compounded when an underground gas pipe was broken during the search (the gas leak was quickly sealed).
The leaks drained a major water tank, which has to be refilled before the system is fully operational.

The cause of the leaks are old galvanized pipes that crumbled and thin PVC pipes. Taos has been issuing their statements through their socials. For updates on progress from the village GO HERE.
