There’s no question that the West has had its fair share of snow this winter. From California to Colorado and everywhere in between, western states have gotten doused with record amounts of snow. The state of Utah has been at the forefront of these epic snow totals. It seemed that every week since December resorts such as Alta, Snowbird, Powder Mountain – you name it – have been posting new snow totals in multiple feet, not inches. Jump on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and you are sure to find one Utahn after another posting video upon video with them in their snorkel kit and getting face shots for days.

Life has been really good out there this winter for our friends in Utah and the best part about it, is that the snow just keeps on coming. On average, most Ski Utah resorts receive about 500″ on snow annually. However, today they just surpassed the 700″ for the season, as Brighton Resort’s most recent storm pushed them over this momentous mark. In case you were wondering, that’s the equivalent of 10 Subarus or 9 moose stacked on top of each other. Bottom line is that is a whole lot of what Ski Utah often refers to as The Greatest Snow on Earth.

Brighton is not the only Ski Utah resort that has set a new all time annual snow total high. Other resorts with record snowfall totals include:

Deer Valley Resort reached a new all-time snowfall record. The storm received throughout the day on Wednesday, March 15th pushed the season’s total depth to 485″. The previous record was 484″ in the 2016-2017 season.
Snowbasin is having its snowiest winter since 2007-2008 (currently at 422″ of snowfall; record was 433″, which could be surpassed any day now.
Sundance Mountain Resort hit a 100″ base for the earliest time since the ’95/’96 season.
As a result of all these inordinate snow totals, 12 of the 15 Ski Utah resorts are reporting base depths over 100″. They may actually be skiing until Labor Day this year. It’s pretty incredible!

To celebrate, what has been an amazing winter, Ski Utah has compiled a video montage of this season’s deepest pow days for your viewing pleasure.
