If you’re a Keystone skier or snowboarder and want to purchase your own little historic piece of the mountain, get your check books ready because the iconic Colorado ski resort is holding two day auction for a whole bunch of trail signs and the #28 Double Ski Chair from the Argentine lift. The auction benefitting the EpicPromise Employee Foundation opens up next Sunday. Opening bid on the chairlift is $250, but I’m sure it will go for much much more. MORE INFO BELOW:

Own A Piece of Keystone History!

This is your chance to take home a cherished piece of Keystone history. You can register and bid for your chance to own one of the resort’s iconic ski trail signs through our virtual auction, held right here. There will also be an opportunity to bid on the #28 Double Ski Chair from the Argentine lift.

All proceeds of the Keystone Trail Sign Auction will benefit the EpicPromise Employee Foundation.

Auction Event Dates

Online Auction Opens: Sunday, March 26, 2023 @ 12pm MST.

Online Auction Closes: Monday, March 27, 2023 @ 12pm MST.

Pre-Register

We recommend pre-registering yourself here prior to the auction start by navigating to the left menu and clicking “Register.” This way, you’ll be ready to bid once the auction opens! Please note, there is a service fee at check out as well.

Sign Pickup

If you win a ski trail sign, pick-up will be located at Keystone Resort. Specific location and instructions will be provided after you have secured your winning bid and payment has been fulfilled.

We will NOT ship trail signs. Please ensure you or a family member/friend will be available to pick up your sign on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 from 1pm-4pm MST.

CHAIRLIFT OPENING BID $250:

The Argentine double chair weighs about 120 lbs and is approximately 3.75 ft wide and 9ft tall. This is the ONLY chair up for auction.

THERE’S 31 TRAIL SIGNS FOR AUCTION WITH $50 OPENING BIDS:

Trail signs are 7in x 60in and weigh approximately 5lbs.

ABOUT THE EPIC PROMISE FOUNDATION: 

The EpicPromise Employee Foundation supports Vail Resorts employees and their dependents in times of need through employee hardship grants and educational scholarships. The Foundation will provide over $1M annually in employee grants, with donations going directly to employees in need.

Foundation Impact: Since its founding in January 2016, the Foundation has given over US$6.4M to 8,500 employees through hardship grants and educational scholarships.

Employee Hardship Grants: Employee Hardship grants are awarded to assist with unpredictable hardship, such as an unplanned medical issue, home disaster or other life event.

Educational Ascent Grants for Employees: The Educational Ascent Grant is a one-time financial grant up to US$2,500 for Vail Resorts employees who are pursuing a degree or certificate program.

EpicPromise Scholars Grants for Dependents: The EpicPromise Scholars Grant is a US$2,500 per year scholarship, for up to four years of post-secondary education, for dependents of Vail Resorts employees.
