Looking back at some vintage skiing clips is always a good time. The sport has changed so dramatically throughout the past several decades, and even a video from the 90s makes it look like an entirely different sport. Going back even further allows us to take a look at the origin of skiing throughout the United Sates.

Though this is a bit of a lengthy documentary (around 25 minutes) it provides a good look at skiing in Maine in the 60s. While some of the resorts may no longer exist, and while those that still do exist look incredibly different, there are points throughout the video where you can witness how the culture of the sport remains quite the same. It’s a fun video, and I highly recommend watching the entire thing.
