Next time you get bummed out because your favorite chairlift is on hold, you might want to keep this video in mind. This footage is from an Austrian ski area Montafon. It shows chairs getting blown sideways in gusts of wind up to 140 km per hour (86 MPH). It’s hard to understand why the chairlift was running at all.

As you can see in the video, people stand by watching helplessly as the poor skiers get blown back and forth in what must have seemed like a total nightmare.
