Nikolai Schirmer creates the best skiing and snowboarding content of any creator I’ve yet to see on YouTube. Plain and simple, the badass Norwegian freeride skier’s videos never miss the mark.

His most recent upload features a star-studded crew of freeride and freestyle skiers from Scandinavia skiing a big sidecountry line near Engelberg, Switzerland.

The crew includes: freestyle madman and The Bunch skier Magnus Granier (aka Ski Man Guy), 2x Freeride World Tour Champ Kristofer Turdell, and European slopestyle champ Emil Granbom.

Check it out below. It’s well-worth the watch:

Nikolai Schirmer: “For Topside episode four we went to Engelberg Ski Lodge and teamed up with an all time crew of Scandinavian skiers to do the classic Titlis Rundtour, which is quite interesting in the early season when it’s not very filled in.”

What an epic video, right?

I particularly appreciated the part where Nikolai gets called out for being a bit reckless during their descent.

He’s clearly one of the best skiers in the group, and just because he can tackle a sketchy goat-hop and tight chute doesn’t mean the rest of the group can.

It’s an important reminder to always play it safe and communicate openly when you’re recreating with a group in the backcountry.

Risking your life to keep up with your better-skiing friends just isn’t worth it.

Bravo to Niko and company for an awesome video.
