Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Ski Patrol spent time earlier this week practicing high angle rescues on their most famous trail- Corbet’s Couloir.
They haven’t provided a ton of details on the day’s activities, but they shared a series of awesome photos taken by @amyjimmerson.
Please remember to thank your local ski patrollers!
This might sound a little dramatic, but these photos moved me.
Not in the sense that I’m going to break down in tears or anything, but it gave me an even deeper appreciation for how hard ski patrollers work to keep us safe on the mountains.
From the volunteers at local hills scattered across the Mid-Atlantic, to the professionals monitoring big mountain terrain out west, the modern ski experience would not be possible without ski patrollers.
