Many ski resorts in Europe have shut down their operations following a historic heat wave that has drastically decimated their snowpack. Even the big-time ski resorts, like Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, are seeing some very peculiar situations.

ITV News traveled to Chamonix, France, to see how one of the top ski destinations in Europe is doing. Lower elevations have no snow minus a few white ribbons of death, while the upper peaks has remained open due to it being 2000 meters above sea level. Tourists are using their vacation time to hike, shop, and dine rather than ski or ride. The concerning video from ITV News is below.
