Things got a little heated at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, CO this past May when multiple chairs on the mountain’s Lenawee Lift weren’t loaded to maximum capacity.

The dozens of skiers and snowboarders waiting in the long lift line took out their frustration on the inconsiderate chairlift riders with a flurry of boos and snowballs.

For context, A Basin was hit with a 16″ snow storm in late-May. The ski area was one of a couple still open in the entire state, and they only had two chairlifts spinning due to the fact that it was almost Memorial Day.

Check out the funny video below:

Arapahoe Basin is in the process of replacing the old and slow Lenawee Lift (as seen in the video above from last season) with a brand-new Leitner-Poma detachable six pack.

Any bottlenecking at Lenawee should be alleviated when the new lift opens later this season.

In the meantime, as we patiently await the Lenawee Express’ grand-opening, let the video above serve as a friendly reminder to always load the chair to maximum capacity.

You never want to be ‘that guy’ who rides a triple chair by himself on a busy day. You just don’t.
