When it comes to skiing and snowboarding, no good day on the mountain is complete without a little après ski. Encompassing all the fun social activities post-shred, après ski is a chance for all to celebrate together without any boundaries. No greens, blues or blacks, just good times had by everyone. With camaraderie like this, you don’t want to go to the end of the day all willy-nilly. Having the right gear is a must no matter what the situation. That said, with the holiday season upon us, be sure to check out these hot new items for the après ski aficionado in your life.

Hillsound BTR Stool – $75

BTR stands for better than a rock and trust me, this little tripod stool is true to its name. It’s way more comfortable than sitting on a rock and perfect for your next après ski tailgate. Lightweight and easy to fold and unfold, it can fit into your backpack or stay tucked under a seat in your truck. Pull it out in the morning when you are booting up then again in the afternoon when you crack open a cold one with your buddies.

Tincup Mountain Whiskey – $37

Nothing warms the soul in the middle of winter like a nice glass of whiskey. Tincup has established themselves as a fun whiskey brand within the outdoor community. Their whiskey is also an excellent choice at a fantastic price point. Tincup’s OG whiskey is the perfect blend straight bourbon and Colorado single malt giving it a smooth caramel flavor with a spicy Rye finish.

Yeti Rambler 20 oz Travel Mug – $38

Great après deserves a great mug and the Yeti Rambler with Stronghold Lid is a must. Ideal for taking your morning coffee enroute to the mountain, the new Stronghold Lid will prevent leaks while allowing the handle to be used by righties and lefties alike. Then when the day ends give your mug a little rinse and fill it with beer or some of that Tincup whiskey and it’ll stay cold for as long as it takes to drink it.

Roll Recovery R8 Plus – $169

The R8 plus may look like a Medieval torture device, and depending upon how sore your legs are, it may feel like one too. But as John Mellencamp once said, “it hurts so good.” Skiing and riding can really tax the legs and sometimes you need a little more than a beer to work the kinks out. The R8 Plus makes rolling out easy. No more getting on the floor. Sit on the couch, wrap this little contraption around your legs while dialing in the desired depth of massage and roll to your heart’s content. It will hurt at first but your quads, hammies, calves and more will thank you when you’re back on the hill the next day shredding away.

Après Ski Team Hoodie – $45

Kari Traa Rose Light  Baselayer Long Sleeve and Pant – $130 & $120

Odds are if you’re reading this you might be buying for that special someone in your life and they’ll love the Kari Traa baselayer. The Rose is lighter in weight than their traditional baselayer, but it’s still just as warm. However, it’s the Nordic inspired patterns that will allow her to wear this right to the bar, thereby making it après worthy.

Hot Chillys Youth Original Crewneck & Tight – $50 ea.

If your kids are like mine, they enjoy après ski too. When it comes to having to bring anything extra for them to the mountain, it’s usually a hard pass. Enter the Hot Chillys crewneck and tight. Their original baselayer is alway a fan favorite thanks to its functionality and fashion. The soft feel and moisture wicking material will keep the kiddos comfy all day while the fun prints will have them fitting in at après while sipping their hot cocoa.

Flylow Mullet Jogger – $100

Fleece joggers that are water repellent too? You got that right. Fleece lined, these joggers can be used as a layering piece while skiing and riding. Once done, slip off your ski pants and rock them on their own. Whether you are lounging around at home or even hanging at the tailgate having some beers, their warmth, comfort and style make them the ultimate business first party after jogger.

OtterBox Folding Wireless Powerbank – $59.95

Nothing sucks the life out of your phone like the cold. But, showing up to the bar with a dead battery doesn’t make for good Instagram content. How else are you going to film your group doing a shotski? That’s where this folding wireless powerbank comes into play. Just lay your phone on it and it will have your phone back to full capacity in 30 minutes or less. Bringing your kids to the bar with you and want to keep them entertained? The hinge allows you to flip the top of the powerbank up and lean your phone up on it to charge. Then they can watch some cool videos while you continue to have another beer or three.

Duer Fireside Denim – $159

Jeans are the unspoken official pants of the mountains. The Fireside Denim by Duer are perfect for that environment. By weaving fleece into the denim Duer constructed a pair of jeans with a little bit of bulk and plenty of warmth. These jeans even have a DWR treatment on the outside to keep the elements at bay. Despite all this fancy winter technology, they are still the buttery soft and stretchy jeans you’ve come to expect from Duer.

Delaine Men’s Downhill Racer Sweater – $285

If the Downhill Racer sweater is good enough for Robert Redford, then it’s definitely good enough for you. Modeled after the 1969 film Downhill Racer it offers both retro style with modern comforts. The ¼ zip high collar construction allows skiers to easily take the sweater off and on while protecting your neck from the elements. Meanwhile the accent stripes give it the après ski flare for you to channel your inner Robert Redford.

Kodiak Montcon Waterproof Winter Boot – $185

A good pair of winter boots that protects you from the elements  is a must. A pair that is equally stylish is a bonus. The Kodiak Montcon is just that. The premium leather exterior looks good but is a bit deceiving. Beneath the leather lies a waterproof membrane combined with Thinsulate to keep your feet dry and warm. With the style of Aspen and the grit of the Adirondacks, you’ll be able to plow through the snow enroute to looking good at the next ski bar.

Forsake Lucie Boot Insulate Women’s – $170

Your lady will want a nice pair of boots this winter too and Forsake is the ultimate peak to pavement brand. The Lucie is out of the box comfortable and sports 100g of insulation to keep her feet warm. However, it is the style and ease that sets them apart. Slide out of your ski boots and into these effortlessly thanks to the side zipper. Then hit the town where people are sure to notice Lucie’s fancy leather and suede exterior.

California Cowboy Aprèski Robe – $398

Imagine yourself wandering from bar to bar through Vail Village in your robe like Vincent “The Chin” Gigante used to do in the streets of New York City. It’s probably not the best idea for a variety of reasons. Unless…your robe is The Aprèski Robe. With a water resistant shell and terry cloth lined pockets you’ll stay nice and warm but it’s all the other components that make this as useful as Batman’s belt. A bottle pocket for your beer and another for your wine, a bottle opener pocket, a terry cloth line sunglasses pocket, a waterproof tech pocket and the good looks you need to help make you the life of the after party.

BlendJet 2 Portable Blender – $49.95

Whether you are blending up a protein shake to replenish your stores or whipping up a cocktail at your next après ski tailgate party the Blendjet2 is a necessity. Lightweight and durable, you can throw it in your backpack and cart it around without any worries. Then when the time comes the TurboJet technology will power through anything from frozen berries to ice giving the post ski drink you so desire.
