Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah has received 92″ of snowfall to start its season off, and business is booming. Two weekends ago, Solitude had some hiccups during its opening weekend due to the lack of terrain that was available and was one of two mountains that were open in the Salt Lake City area, but they’re catching their stride with terrain and lifts opening rapidly around the ski resort.

On Friday, they opened up a terrain park on the Main Street flats. The setup looks pretty sweet, and it adds some traffic to an area that was once a long run out. The park features rails, boxes, and jumps. Another terrain park will be added later this season over at the North Star and South Star trails.

Last week, they opened up the Powderhorn, Sunrise, and Summit Express chairlifts for the season. The only lifts that are not currently open are the Eagle Express and Honeycomb Return. While it’s clearly low tide for the foreseeable future in Utah, it looks like the groomed trails are absolutely ripping.
