Want to see a dude go from a leisurely pace to an all out gear grinding sprint at the wag of a tail? Check out this footage from Hoge Veluwe National Park in the Netherlands of a wolf scaring the crap out of a passing cyclist. Wolves are known to live in the park and pair has reportedly produced offspring there. Recent close encounters with humans have wildlife officials thinking they might be getting fed by visitors and have become habituated. The problem has gotten to the point where official plan to start hazing the wolves with paintballs to discourage contact. Let’s hope this method is effective and we don’t see any more videos of bikers tearing ass with a wolf on their six.
Here’s another video of a wolf in Hoge Veluwe National Park getting way too close:
De @faunabeschermin heeft aangifte gedaan tegen directie @HogeVeluwe wegens het verzaken van haar zorgplicht jegens de onder haar verantwoordelijkheid vallende wolven. Nergens werden wolven zo tam zonder bijvoeren @Meldpunt144 @POL_Gelderland 🐺📯 pic.twitter.com/UX2LOHVvKw
