This past weekend brought a very solid amount of snow to a good number of ski resorts on the western half of the United States. Alta built up 25″ of snow,  Big Sky received 12-24″, and Aspen Snowmass grabbed around 8-10″. But not everyone got exactly what they were hoping for, like the front range resorts in Colorado, and I’m willing to bet most of us are asking when we can expect the next major snowfall.

Fortunately, we don’t have to rely on our own readings of NOAA weather reports and we don’t have to rely on general broadcast meteorologists. Instead, we can rely on Chris Tomer, Denver based meteorologist and ski enthusiast.

Now I’m not going to pretend to understand everything Chris is saying. I don’t quite understand how pressure affects the weather, and I don’t know what the presented maps really mean, but I can tell you that this weather forecast is promising. Take the time to watch this video, Chris does a great job at making the weather easily understandable, and if you aren’t subscribed to him already, I highly recommend that you do so.
