David G Woodward was surfing at Bluffs Campground in San Onofre State Park, San Clemente, California when he noticed a juvenile great white shark circling him in the waters.
Woodward was the only surfer out that day, and while he wasn’t initially worried, he had to make a break for the shore when the shark started coming right at him.
The video was captured by Woodward’s GoPro that was attached to the nose of his longboard. You can read his lips when he says ‘Oh F**K’ as the shark is rapidly approaching him. He then spins his board around for shore, and we get a view of the shark lurking in the water behind him.
