A kayaker was leading a rafting tour on the Elaho River near Squamish, BC when a juvenile grizzly bear charged out of nowhere and started swimming after him.
The rafters could only yell and hope for the best as they watched the grizzly get closer to their guide.

*It’s important to note that the video was recorded on a GoPro and the fisheye effect makes it seem like the bear is further away than it actually is. The bear gets within a couple of feet of the kayaker.*
Thankfully nobody was hurt, but man that must have been scary. Do kayakers carry bear spray up there in Squamish? Might be something to consider after seeing this clip…
