Got a neat little life hack for those of you that enjoy cycling or mountain biking in areas inhabited by bears and cougars.

If you’re fearful that you might be chased by one of these animals, glue or stick some fake eyes to the back of your helmet. Professional cyclist Jonathan Vaughters (@Vaughters) claims that they work.

Check out the video he posted to Twitter:

“How to prevent getting eaten by a big cat on the Colorado trail record attempt? Glue eyes to the back of you helmet. Obviously.”

I’m not 100% sure that fake eyes attached to the back of your helmet will prevent every bear and cougar from chasing you, but it certainly can’t hurt, right?

It might be worth something looking into for those of you that are fearful of wildlife attacks. Those googly eyes could mean the difference between life and death if a big predator is chasing you through the woods.
