Dan and John Egan were skiing at Grand Targhee for Warren Miller’s 1990 film ‘Extreme Winter’ when a massive cornice, apparently the “size of a three-story apartment house”, according to Warren Miller, broke off from the mountain under their skis.
You’ve probably seen this clip before, but it’s always worth a re-watch in my opinion. It’s still mind-blowing 32 years later that they survived, especially John.
