You might be surprised with this take considering I’m an avid skier, and I like to stick it to snowboarders from time to time, but this skier was undeniably in the wrong in this situation.
I mean everybody is guilty of cruising down the terrain park from time to time, but it should be common sense that it’s not safe to stop right in the landing of a jump. She’s just lucky this guy had enough speed to carry him right over her head and avoid catastrophe.
It’s stuff like this that give skiers a bad rap in the snowboarding community… I’d like to extend a formal apology to snowboarders on behalf of skiers for this mistake from one of our own. We do not condone her action, and we are conducting an internal investigation to get to the bottom of this.
