Austrian mountain biker/cerified, Elias Schwärzler has set a new Guinness World Record for fastest speed recorded on a bike towed by a motorcycle. He set the record at the Lausitzring racetrack in northeast Germany and missed his goal of breaking 300km/h but 272km/h ain’t too shabby (169mph). While you might be quick to minimize Schwärzler’s accomplishment because it wasn’t propelled by pedals or gravity, its still mega-ballsy to do 169mph on basically a standard mountain bike. Herzliche Glückwünsche Elias!
