Stevens Pass will be receiving some much-needed love from Vail Resorts in 2023. Three lift replacements were announced for the 2023-24 season at Vail Resort’s fiscal 2022 third-quarter earnings call: A new high-speed quad to the Summit at Attitash, the replacement of Breckenridge’s 5-Chair with a high-speed quad, and the reason you clicked on this article. On Thursday, Steven’s Pass announced that the Kehr’s Chairlift (a vintage Riblet double from the 1960s) will be replaced with a quad chairlift. According to the Storm Skiing Journal, it has yet to be confirmed whether the lift will be a detachable or a fixed-grip quad chairlift.

The Kehr’s lift services the I-5 and Showcase runs, along with the Double Diamond lift(which accesses Big Chief Mountain/Mill Valley). After what was a poorly executed season by management at Stevens Pass, it’s great to see that transparency and investment will continue to grow in the upcoming years.
