An avalanche triggered near Mount Meeker in Rocky Mountain National Park around 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 29th has potentially buried three climbers, according to CBS Denver. Rocky Mountain National Park’s Search and Rescue team, along with multiple other agencies, are conducting a search as of 1 p.m. on Sunday.

“At approximately 9 a.m. this morning a rock fall and avalanche were reported near the Dreamweaver Couloir on Mt. Meeker. Three climbers are potentially involved. The rock fall and avalanche were witnessed by other climbers in the area.”RMNP spokeswoman Kyle Patterson, according to CBS Denver

Temporary flight restrictions were put in place in the area, Upper Beaver Meadows Road was closed for visitors, and Trail Ridge Road has remained closed. As of 1 p.m. Sunday, no more information is available.
