Tornados are rare in the Northeast, but they can still leave behind some major damage. Yesterday, severe thunderstorms hit the state of New Hampshire, and even a tornado occurred in the town of North Charlestown. It was only functional for a few seconds, but it took down some trees and a powerline. No injuries were reported According to WMUR, the National Weather Service traveled to the state and confirmed that it was a tornado.

Tornados in New Hampshire are pretty rare, as the mountainous and uneven terrain leads to quick tornados if they can even land successfully. The most notable tornado in recent memory came in 2008, which ended up killing a grandmother.  This video from Silver & Brass shows the tornado from yesterday and the damage that the storm left behind.
