Ever wonder how ski resorts are able to operate chairlifts after a particularly wet and/or icy storm?
The video below shows lift mechanics shimmying out to de-ice the haul rope of the Summit Lift at Mt. Bachelor, and it’s one of the most badass things I’ve seen in a while. These guys and gals are awesome.
Thanks to all of you lift mechanics that keep us ungrateful skiers and riders enjoying the slopes in even the harshest winter weather.
We owe you big time!
