Snowbird just rolled out their season pass options for next season with a press release, which included a season parking pass option.

It’s important to note that the majority of the parking at Snowbird will remain free and be first-come-first-serve, but the Bird will offer guests a preferred parking pass for the entirety of the Winter ’22-’23 season for $799.

The pass will grant access to ‘Preferred Parking Lots’ that are convenient for a day out on the mountain.

Yeah. You read that correctly. People who shell out $800 will be given preferred parking for the entirety of the 2022-2023 season.

I don’t know how to feel about this.

On one hand, I say who cares if some rich family is willing to pay $800 on a place to park their minivan for the season. But, on the other, I feel for the weekend warriors trying to make the most out of the season. Those guys and gals always seem to be left out.

As with all things in this capitalist country we live in- money talks. Of course the rich will always have more opportunities. That’s the way it was always meant to be.

I will admit that I feel for the resorts in the Cottonwood Canyons struggling with parking solutions. The fact is that there are too many skiers, and not enough parking spots.

The resorts have to do something to handle this problem, but slapping an $800 price tag on a seasonal parking spot…well… I don’t know to say it any other way… It just sucks, man.
