^Killington is the King of Spring.

Killington is known for having the longest season in the east, and they’re not going to let a disappointing year for natural snowfall change that.

The resort posted to their Facebook yesterday that they have 100 snow guns cranking away on the resort’s famous Superstar trail whenever conditions allow.

Killington is hoping to build a substantial base on Superstar to keep the season going as long as possible.

Killington hasn’t closed earlier than May 12th over the last 7 seasons (besides 2020 due to COVID). They even made it all the way to June 1st during the 2016-2017 season.

Anybody have bets on how long The Beast of the East will make it this year? I’m guessing they’ll close on Sunday, May 15th this year.

Killington is also know for being the ‘King of Spring’ out east, and for good reason. Ripping slush bumps on Superstar in the middle of May is something every skier and rider should do in their lifetime.
