Personally, I’ve always wanted to attend Burning Man at some point in my life. All the art and weirdness just seems so appealing. However, it seems like, year after year, more and more people are complaining about influencers and corporations breaking in and ruining the spirit of the ceremony. It also seems like such a hassle to attend, and tickets are pricy. Unfortunately, I don’t think Burning Man is in the cards for me…

FORTUNATELY, a town much much closer to me is having their own version of Burning Man on April 1st. However, instead of burning a large wooden man along with other weird structures, the town of Silverthorne, Colorado, will be burning a large wooden snowman to welcome in Spring.

While the town has previously hosted the same event, this will be the first burning of Frosty since before the Covid-19 pandemic. Live music, food, and arts will also be included in the festivities. I will personally be at Arapahoe Basin on Friday celebrating both Gaper Day and the 75th anniversary of the mountain, so making the venture to Silverthorne for the April First Friday Burning Snowman isn’t entirely impossible…
