Spring skiing is already hitting hard across the nation. Personally, I’m currently enjoying the slush of Steamboat in Colorado, trying my hardest not to burn my face off in hot sun while still spending my entire day on the slopes (I’ll try to share it if I end up burning my face off, so you all can laugh at me).
I find that spring skiing is one of my favorite types of skiing, only really beat by skiing fresh now. The sunblock goes on, the outfits come out, and everyone just gets real whacky. Unfortunately, skiing in the spring is a mark of a much darker reality and future… the end of the ski season.
With Lake Tahoe reaching hotter and hotter temperatures, skiing at the many resorts in the area is also coming to a closure, and we now have the dates in which most mountains are set to close.
