Red Bull Raid is one of the only competitions that blends uphill endurance with downhill prowess. The event has gained a lot of steam over the last few seasons, and this year’s date has been announced.

“Red Bull Raid is the truest test of a mountain athlete. The only event in the world that combines uphill skill with downhill mastery, Red Bull Raid is part hike-your-line sufferfest, part big-mountain freeriding. The event is split into two evenly weighted sections–the ascent and the descent–with 200 points up for grabs per section based on speed and style with competitors racing to see who can climb to the summit quickest while still having enough left in the tank to truly send it on the downhill. The end result? The most complete snowsports competition in the Sierra.”

This year’s competition will go down next Friday, March 18th on sun-kissed slopes of Palisades Tahoe!

Some registrations spots are still available if you’re looking to compete.

I will be there covering the event, and I can’t wait. This will be my first time to Tahoe, and what better way to soak it all in, right?

See you there?
