Finnish skier Remi Lindholm is reporting that his penis froze during the men’s 50km mass start race at the Beijing Games. The race was shortened to 30km due to the severe cold, however, the shortened course did not prevent his appendage from freezing.

Lindholm spent an hour and 16 minutes skiing the course in sub-zero conditions.

“You can guess which body part was a little bit frozen when I finished (the men’s Olympic 50km race) … it was one of the worst competitions I’ve been in. It was just about battling through,” he told Finnish media.

Following the race, Lindholm said he used a heat pack to try to thaw out his penis.

“When the body parts started to warm up after the finish, the pain was unbearable,” he added.
