Due to crowds, one of Aspen Skiing Companies Covid-19 policies is biting the dust. The Aspen Times reports that Aspen Snowmass will no longer accommodate guests’ requests to have private gondola cabins. There are only two gondolas at Aspen Skiing Company properties: Silver Queen Gondola at Aspen Mountain and Elk Camp Gondola at Snowmass. The move was announced Saturday on Aspens snow report. While guest visits are down versus prior years, staffing shortages have led to less open terrain, lodges, and lifts, leading to long lift lines at their gondolas. Aspen/Snowmass introduced the measures for the 2020-21 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. For those that aren’t comfortable with these measures, the resort is suggesting going on one of their outdoor chairlifts. Image Credits: Aspen Snowmass, Aspen Times
