“That one time I gave a backyard pool the finger (or two). It was a blast skating with my oldest son Riley Hawk, my childhood hero Eddie Elguera & The Pool Whisperer Ozzie Ausband until I got lazy on a bs smith stall and my digits went awry.”

If you were wondering if 53-year-old skateboard legened Tony Hawk was still tough look no further. The Birdman joined his son Rile for a pool skating session where he dislocated a couple fingers and took it like a champ. At the hospital they actually had to cut his wedding band off due to swelling. As a result, Tony is now working with a flexible silicone ring company to create a skate safe wedding ring. Here’s Tony account of what happened after he left the pool:

“What happened next: I walked into the emergency room, they maneuvered each dislocated finger into their socket and then cut my silver ring off (because swelling). We were on our way home and eating sushi with chopsticks less than two hours later.”
