Tragic news out of Hancock, Massachusetts where Kimberly Francoeur, 30, died at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in the early morning of Tuesday Jan 4th.

The Berkshire Eagle reports according witness statements the accident happened when Kimberly, a snow maker, had stopped her snowmobile and a groomer backed into her. First responders arrived as soon as possible after and pronounced her dead shortly after arrival. The death remains under investigation and an autopsy is scheduled.

This is the worst case nightmare for any resort employee and we offer our deepest condolences to those effected by this loss.  To all of you snowmakers and groomers, BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.
