Snake Creek Backcountry Access Gate at Brighton Resort

The post embedded from Wasatch County Search & Rescue at the bottom of this blog says that they rescued two overdue skiers from the backside of Brighton’s Snake Creek yesterday.

Hmmm… I don’t want to speculate too much here, but I’m a little confused how somebody could “drop off the wrong side of Brighton”. All of the backcountry access gates are clearly marked at Brighton if recent memory serves me well. That means these skiers either ignored the signs or ducked a rope somewhere along the way.

Thankfully they were rescued by the brave Wasatch County Search & Rescue team before things got out of hand. I’m happy that everybody in question was alright. Regardless of how they ended up in this pickle.
