Mt. Hood Meadows is replacing the Mt. Hood Express. Documents filed with the United States Forest Service back in June reveal Meadows’s desire to replace the four-person Mt. Hood Express with a six-pack chairlift. On December 14th, the U.S. Forest Service approved these plans. This detachable six-pack will increase capacity by one thousand people per hour (from 2600 to 3600 passengers). The base terminal will be in the same location, while the summit terminal will be slightly moved to the west. According to KOIN, the lift will open during the 2023-24 season.
