One of the best things about being a ‘blogger’ and not a ‘journalist’ is that I can be as biased as I want to when it comes to what I write about. Case in point, Nikolai Schirmer. I just genuinely enjoy watching the content this dude puts out on a regular basis, and therefore, I get to share it with all of you that read Unofficial Networks.

Schirmer is well-known for his vlog-style videos that show him descending steep couloirs across the world, but the video below is a little different. He goes on an incredible journey to a remote mountain range in Norway that is only accessible by boat, and it’s a real treat to watch.

You will enjoy this film. Give it the full 44-minute run time. I know that’s a big ask these days when TikToks are all the rage, but I promise this is worth your time! I also recommend checking out The Out of Collective Podcast episode where Schirmer joins host Adam Jaber to talk about making this film. It’s a great conversation, and provides some behind-the-scenes insight to Schirmer’s insane life.

Nikolai Schirmer:“A ski odyssey to the far northern fjords of Norway, presented by Norrøna and Black Crows. After a decade of dreaming of the Kvænangstindan mountain range we board Captain Crocs’ vessel Sofie in search of adventure. But when have you pushed it so far over the edge that you may never sail back home?”
