“The house sits up high in the Vermont mountains, and the overall architecture is best described as a luxury cabin with sweeping mountain views and tons of amazing outdoor living space. It’s overall understated and livable with modern touches.”– Designer Brian Patrick Flynn

For this year’s house, HGTV collaborated with the Vermont Real Estate Company and Sugarbush Real Estate to build a stunning house in Vermont’s Green Mountains. According to People, the house is a “two-story, modern mountain cabin with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms spread across 3,090 square feet.” Some of the amenities and prizes include a Jeep Grand Wagoneer, a $250,000 check from Rocket Mortage, a pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and grill, fire pit, a four-season patio, laundry room, office space, kitchen with modern appliances, pond, and is just a couple of minutes drive from Sugarbush’s village. Mad River Glen is about fifteen minutes away from Sugarbush, so it’s likely not too far to get to the skiers only mountain from the home. The total prize package is worth $2.4 million, with the downside being the likely large property taxes. Homes in ski towns that have been featured in the sweepstakes before have included Jackson Hole, Winter Park, Stowe, Lake Tahoe, and Whitefish.

The sweepstakes begin on December 28th, and HGTV will release the television special that will show off the crib on January 1st at 8 pm Eastern Time. A video tour, along with various photos of the home are below.
