French skier Bailet Matthieu made the save of his life during the World Cup downhill competition at Beaver Creek’s Birds of Prey this past weekend.
Matthieu seems to completely lose control as he comes over one of the course’s jumps, but he hangs on for dear life on the outside edge of his right ski, and skis away like nothing even happened.
The strength Matthieu exhibited on this save is actually incredible. It’s a miracle he didn’t go crashing into the safety netting or blow out his knee.
Kind of hard to tell which ski brand sponsors Matthieu (maybe Salomon?), but they need to give him a raise for marketing their product so well…😂
